The Program

  • You will begin your type rating training before you arrive at the training center with a 40 hour distance learning course. This comprehensive computer based course covers the aircraft systems and procedures that you are required to know to complete this type rating course.
  • When you arrive at the training center you will first complete the one week Jet Transition Course, and then begin Type Rating training with classroom systems review, and procedures training, then moving to the actual Full Flight simulator training.
  • Simulator training is accomplished as a crew; you will be scheduled to train with a partner.

Type Rating Course With Jet Transition*

  • 64 Hours Ground Instruction, including computer based training (CBT)

Prerequisites

  • Must hold a current FAA and DGCA Commercial License, with Instrument and Multi-Engine Ratings
  • Be a 18 Years Old
  • Must have a DGCA No Objection Certificate (NOC)
  • Must Have Completed The Required 40 Hour Type Rating Distance Learning Course.

Curriculum and Time Line (With training partner)

Week 1:  Jet Transition

Ground School – Jet Orientation

  • Operation of jet aircraft

Cockpit Procedures FBS

  • Flight Management System

Weeks 2 & 3:  Level D Full Flight Simulator Training

  • 48 Hours of aircraft specific ground training
  • 10 Hours FBS: 5 Sessions left seat
  • 10 Hours FBS: 5 Sessions right seat
  • 16 Hours FFS: 8 Sessions left seat
  • 16 Hours FFS: 8 Sessions right seat
  • 3 Hour Check Ride FFS: 1 Session left seat
  • 3 Hour Check Ride FFS: 1 Session right seat

Including LOFT and LVO Ground and FSS training, plus a minimum of 3 day and 3 night take-offs and landings.

Program Enrollment

Step One - Initial Refundable Course Deposit - This gets you started

  • Complete our on line Application Form with a $500 refundable deposit
  • You will receive an Acceptance Letter, (which, for non-US students, you must take to the US Consulate and apply for a B1B2 visa).
  • You will also receive an Enrollment Agreement for you to print, and read.
  • Should you decide not to proceed for any reason, all moneys paid will be refunded minus a $200 enrollment fee.
  • You can pay via PayPal, Bank Transfer, cash or check.

Step Two - Enrollment Agreement - Once you decide to commence your Flight Training:

  • Please sign the Agreement and fax it back to us, and also FedEx it to us with a copy of your passport and any pilot licenses you currently hold.
  • An additional $2,000 payment is required at this time to cover initial course ware and on line training programs that you will receive.
  • Should you withdraw your application for any reason, all moneys paid will be refunded minus any program related costs and accumulated processing fees.
  • You can pay via PayPal, Bank Transfer, cash or check.

The entire deposit becomes non-refundable if enrollment is cancelled within 30 days of the class start date. Class size is limited, so it is important to submit the deposit and secure your place in class.

Step Three – US M-1 Visa Application

Step Four – Apply for TSA clearance

Step Five – Course Payment

The balance due for the course must be paid via Bank Transfer, Cash or Check prior to the first day of class.

Prior to departing for the US, you must have received your visa and TSA approval to have your fingerprints taken, (if required).  We can take your fingerprints on the day you arrive and submit them to the AFSP at that time. You must have your permission to initiate training before your actual simulator training.

Step Six

It is suggested that you plan to arrive at least 1 day prior to the first day of class in order to get settled in before you begin your training.
