Phase 1 - Private, Instrument, and Commercial, Multi-Engine***

Prerequisites To Initiate Training

  • Must be 18 years old
  • High School Diploma
  • ICAO Level 4 Command of the English Language
  • Must Hold an FAA First Class Medical
  • Prior to departing India for to the U.S., you must obtain a DGCA First Class Medical.

Weeks 1 – 4 Private License***

Phase 2 - FAA to DGCA License Conversion

The Program

To accomplish a timely conversion process requires accomplishing the steps outlined below.

  • Prior to completing the training for your commercial license, you must determine which published test date you wish to write the DGCA aeronautical knowledge exams, and obtain a computer number for the DGCA exam.
  • Immediately prior to leaving for India to study for the exams, you will be scheduled to complete the DGCA currency requirements.
  • Upon arriving in India, you will immediately begin our comprehensive ground training program to quickly prepare you to sit your DGCA written exams.  
  • Once you have taken and passed your DGCA theory exams, and hold a current FAA license, you can partition the DGCA to convert your license.

The Program

  • You may begin your type rating training before you arrive at the training center with a 40 hour distance learning course. This comprehensive computer based course covers the aircraft systems and procedures that you are required to know to complete this type rating course.
  • When you arrive at the training center you will complete an approved jet transition course that prepares you to function in the cockpit of a large jet  aircraft
  • Once you have completed the jet transition, you move immediately in to the actual 737NG or A320 simulator training.
  • You will complete your training with an FAA 737NG or A320 Type Rating, plus the required certificates for the DGCA Right Seat Endorsement on your Indian license for the specific aircraft.

Type Rating Prerequisites

  • Must hold a current  FAA and DGCA Commercial License, with Instrument and Multi-Engine Ratings
  • Must have a DGCA No Objection Certificate (NOC)
  • Must Have Completed The Required 40 Hour Type Rating Distance Learning Course.
